Catching Up (video added to you tube - see sidebar)

It's been a long time .... just couldn't write for awhile ... as you know the holidays were tough this year but we did try to make it special. I thought I'd share a bit with you .... Christmas Eve Day Kim and family came in to visit with Dad and then came to our house for a bit ... cousin group picture: Hailee did a wonderful job of preparing Gabi for many of the holiday traditions but we were very surprised with the one that Gabi was most taken with. She couldn't wait to put out cookies and milk for Santa. She picked out the "best" ones .... And then couldn't decide where to leave the filled plate. She really wanted to put them on the fireplace but she knew that Codee would have them eaten before she could get Santa's milk. So she decided to put them on the table but then worried that Santa wouldn't know where to find them .... watch the video to see what she decided to do ....

Here's the note that she placed lovingly on the tree for Santa to read. And where was Hailee while Gabi was making these major decisions? Earlier in the evening the girls were allowed to open gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Clauer who live in Florida. Gabi received an outfit and a singing Hannah Montana doll .... And Hailee a jewelry chest that she absolutely loved. She asked Jack to put it together right away and move it to her room. She spent the rest of the night putting everything in it. (Not a girly-girl???? -- hmmmm) Christmas Morning was early -- the girls (including Lisa) were excited -- this is what they saw as they entered the living room. And what we saw .... Gabi enjoyed every gift she received, but said over and over "It's enough" "I have lots" ..... Cinderrerra (Cinderella) was loved immediately. And Hailee really loved the new clothes (again, not a girly-girl??? --- hmmm) Beautiful Lisa! Modeling her new "Cindererra dress" ..... Couldn't forget Codee The opening is done .... Shortly after this we hurried off to be with Grandpa ....

Its great to see the update. The video didn't work for me this time but I will try to watch again later. Gabi must have been so excited for Christmas this year with all the new customs and traditions. Hailee is absoulutly gorgeous in the header photo, She seems to be turning into more of a girly girl all the time. :) Its great to catch up...I knew you might not post for a while but I still found myself checking all the time for updates. I hope you are all doing well and that everything is becoming a little easier for you too.

The video didn't work for me either. Hopefully you can figure out the problem, because we love to see the videos!!!

Hope you are all healing and have gotten some closure now.

I also found myself checking often to see what was going on with the Ollmann girls. This was a nice update. Sure wish I could have been there.

Miss ya so much!!!

Awww! So cute! Gabis English is sure taking flight! Wow!!! I laughed so hard I could have cried when she shared her impression of Santa Clause and his walk and big red coat! He He He! Did Santa come the way she expected? Now she has to wait all year for him to come around again.
I hope you are all doing well and love to hear how you're doing. Is Hailee still playing basketball? We haven't had an update on how she is in awhile. :) We are working on Oksanas paperwork so that we can come meet you all in person. Who knows how long that will take though.

Catherine,
It was a lot of fun watching Gabi on Christmas Eve -- she was so excited! I really don't think she knew exactly what she was so excited for .... she was overwhelmed. Now, though, she tells us that Christmas is very fun in America.

Hailee is doing well, she is still doing basketball but now it's a rec league. She loves it. She's been doing excellent in school -- we're very proud -- she made the honor roll for the 2nd time this year.

And me? It's been hard ... I think we've had so many major life changes in a very short period of time. I still find myself drifting off sometimes ... not enough energy to do what I should. It will get better in time, I know. Thank you for asking!

Keep working on that paperwork -- looking forward to the day we actually meet. You've been so supportive! Thank you for the beautiful pictures of Oksana and Landon ..... so precious!!!
