Double Birthday Celebration

Hailee's birthday was May 19th -- Gabi's is June 30th. We decided to have the big family celebration between the two. Hailee's been through the family birthday's before but Gabi hasn't. She was very, very nervous -- yet very excited too. Gabi had trouble finding an outfit for the occasion. She initially thought her Cinderella play dress would be perfect since she was going to be the princess of the day -- however, once she realized it was only held together with velcro she knew it wouldn't work. Amanda helped her decide on this little number. You can't see it in this picture but it does have a crown in rhinstones at the bottom of the shirt (under her arm). The bow is something we brought back from Kazakhstan but Gabi wore them in Bulgaria too. She loved it even though Jonathan kept teasing her about the bow being bigger than her head.

Aunt Gin brought chocolate covered strawberries -- the girls love them and didn't wait very long before digging in!!!Hayden on the other hand was not impressed with the strawberries at all. He took one bite and handed it right back ....And then he spotted the big bowl of fruit that Aunt Nancy had in her hand. She was his new favorite Auntie of the day! Especially since she kept asking him if he wanted more on his plate.

Just before dinner the rain came -- had hoped to have the party outside. The house was full but all went well ....

Finally the time Gabi had been waiting for ... PRESENTS. She loved everything she received. And so did Hailee -- they were both spoiled!!! Next it was time for cake -The best part of cake was the singing according to Hailee and Gabi ......

Entertainment of the evening was the new WII sing game. Gabi's taking a turn along with Amanda, Lisa and Aunt Kim .....



As the last people were leaving Gabi looked around, pulled me into a hug and said, "This was my best birthday ever." No other words needed.
