Busy and crazy .... that's life right now. I'm constantly thinking about updating the blog and then before you know it something comes up and the thought is gone. At least I think it's because we're busy .... maybe it's old age.
Hailee finished up her basketball season at school and decided to try volleyball. She's never played other than a little in gym class but she had a great try out and made the team. It's been amazing to watch her progress .... Below is a picture of basketball -- for some reason my camera does not take good pictures in the gym, it's fuzzy, but she's out there!

Gabi on the other hand, gave Tae Kwon Do a try. Our little princess found that she loved it. Her school offered a trial program; once she finishes up dance class we'll be enrolling her in a regular class. She's showing off her skills ....

And actually broke a board ..... and yes it hurt her hand!

Last month we had one of the biggest snowstorms in years. We had 2 feet of snow fall overnight. Everthing was closed ... Jack thought he was going to get to work. He did manage to get stuck on our street and had to dig his way out to get back in the driveway. He never did manage to get to work that day, they never plowed our streets until the next morning and even then it was only enough to drive one car through.

Check out the drifts we had in the front of the house.

So what did we do with a whole day at home -- some of us played princess ....

And others worked on trying to clear the snow ....

Hailee did some skiing lessons ... she really thought she wanted to do snowboarding but they recommended that she start with skiing. She absolutely loved it .... and after a couple lessons she did pretty well.

Sorry the picture is so blurry -- she really did like it even though it looks as if she's sleeping.

We visited the Science and Industry Museum -- what a great place. I would recommend it. There was so much to do we didn't get to everything in one day.

This misty wall scared Gabi -- we had all gone through it and she wouldn't. After much convincing she finally gathered up enough courage to walk through -- see those clenched fists? She was not sure about it at all.
Gabi hopes to have a dress like this someday when she's ready to marry. She found it on the old time streets -- they had shops and even a little movie theatre showing old time movies without sound.

Had to have an ice cream cone from the old fashioned shop -- thanks Aunt Nancy!

There was a submarine there and we learned all about life in a sub ---

The little bunks that they slept in -- look how tiny they are.

If you stood in front of this wall the butterflies would land on your shadow -- the girls were mesmorized by this.

One of the rooms had a huge steam engine in it -- we were able to get up close and try out all the levers and gadgets .....

This electricity ball was fun to play with -- even Aunt Nancy had fun with it!

This room was a lot of fun -- the girls could create their own space using all the colors ... Gabi loved the blues and purples

And Hailee went for the rainbow effect.
Can't get any cuter than these two?????

Another room had a model city with trains going through it. Lots of buttons that you could push to see a variety of different things like trees being cut down, bridges collapsing .... lots of fun.

Not sure where we are here but it's a nice picture.

Now -- for some exciting news -- I would like to introduce you to the newest member of the family. Mr. Jackson Andrew -- born March 12th. He is adorable ....

All 6 lbs. 13 oz. of him ......

The men of the family .....

Aunt Lisa and Jackson ....

Jonathan, Amanda, Hayden and Jackson --- all are doing well!

Auntie Hailee & Auntie Gabi couldn't get enough holding time. Hailee remembers when Hayden was this little, but Gabi had never seen or held a baby before. She spent a lot of time just watching him and rubbing his soft cheek.
The day he was born she held him for awhile and then came over to ask me how her mother could have given her up. Is there an answer to that question? All I could do was hold her ......

Papa enjoying the boys!

Well, that's about it for now, we are very blessed.
