Answer
We were relieved to receive the answer from our agency so quickly . . . . Vika is with her aunt -- the agency even called the aunt who said that things were going okay! Along with this knowledge we found a whole set of new feelings we are working through. We can now pray that Vika has the life that every child deserves.

I'm sure this news helps to put closure on so many of those questions of "what if's", yet as you said before, Vika will always be a part of you. I too, thought how it would have been if Vika shared our 3rd with us and remembered Hailee's first year.
I was wondering if you asked the agency if there was a possibility of keeping in communication with Vika.
We are here to support you in whatever decision lies ahead for you.
Love ya,
Linda
Hi Linda,
We would love it if Vika would be able to continue contact, but the aunt feels otherwise.
We left some things for Vika -- she had picked them out when we went shopping (a book, shoes, movies) -- her aunt refuses to allow the agency to bring them. She cannot understand why we would want Vika to have them.
So . . . I don't think she will allow any contact.
Love ya back,
Cheryl
We're glad to hear that Vika is doing well and that she's with her aunt. Hopefully that answer will bring some peace and closure to you, and will allow you to look forward as you think about what to do next, if anything. As always, you've got everyone's love & support regardless of what you decide. :)
Finding out is bittersweet. We can only hope that Vika's relatives are truly capable of loving and nurturing her.
