We Wish ....

We wish ..... that we could say that this will be a joyous post.


We wish .... there was something new to post. We haven't heard anything about registration or referrals in what feels like an eternity. The hardest part of this is there's no one to call and complain too, it's out of everyone's control.


We wish ... that the extra stocking on our fireplace belonged to someone. Last year when we hung the stockings we felt such hope and excitment about who would be with us the next Christmas. This year the feeling when we hung it was so different .... such an empty feeling and I have to admit there was a deep longing that Vika's name was on it.


We wish ... we knew the answers to all the questions and concerns going through our mind everyday. Somedays it feels as if we've lost ourselves somewhere in this process - so much of our life centers around the adoption. Very soon it will be two years since we began ....


We wish ... this isn't adoption related, but we wish with all our hearts that our family could be together this Christmas. This will be the first year that we will not see all of our children ... airfare is much too expensive this year ... hoping that Jonathan and Amanda take lots of video to share. Hayden will be so much fun to watch this year .........


We wish .... for you to understand that we know how very blessed we are in many, many ways, but some days the sadness gets the best of us. We wish & hope that tomorrow may look brighter.
