And the Paper Journey Continues

I know I've been a bit lax about updating . . . . but, trust me, it's not because adoption is far from our minds. We've been doing our "homework" every night.

We have now completed the Power of Attorney's for everyone in our path from here to Bulgaria, the letter to the Ministry of Justice explaining our motivation to adopt, etc, etc, etc. The dossier is coming together and we're relieved to find that it is much, much easier than the dossier we put together for Kazakhstan.

We've also been WAITING ............patiently??? (okay, not patiently) .......... for our homestudy to be complete. The September deadline is looming over our heads.

We also learned that we need to complete 10.5 hours of classes to show that we are educated and can be good parents to an internationally adopted child. Tried to convince them that 8 years of parenting Hailee should count for something, but no ....... we must do the classes. That's become a major priority ........... ugh!

We're also in the process of taking more pictures -- need to update all those family photos so be prepared you family members -- more kodak moments coming up!!!

I do want to thank Kim for posting information about grants. I did google your suggestions and found some interesting prospects. Thank you!

And thank you to Ashleigh for contacting Jonathan about an interesting fundraiser. . . . anyone need tupperware??? They offer a fantastic fundraising opportunity -- seriously, let me know if anyone is interested. I'm thinking about trying this out.

That's it for now .................

I'm all for less paperwork—the amount of documents that were required for Kazakhstan was unbelievable. Glad to hear you're making headway!!!
