Here's what the e-mail said:
The Ollman's dosier is now for translation and when we will get it we will submit it on 10 Oktober 2008 in MOJ and in 30 days time they will be entered in the MOJ's registry. We hope that their dossier will be examined soon .
From our understanding of the way things work in Bulgaria this e-mail does not hold the news we have been praying for. If the dossier is submitted on October 10th and it takes 30 days before it's registered this would mean that the dossier will not even be registered until November 10th. From there it would have to go through the referral process, we would receive the referral, travel for a week to meet the child, come home, wait until the courts process all paperwork and than travel to pick the child up. With only 3 months until the end of the year we doubt that it can be done.
What to do now???????? We just don't know ..............

So sorry to hear this. I know you needed to complete this adoption before year end to realize the tax breaks, but does this mean you're thinking about whether to continue on or not? I sure hope not. What a lot to think about. Keep the faith my friends.

To answer your question -- yes, we are struggling with the tough decision of continuing or not ....... we never thought we'd be in the position ......
Bless your heart, this must be horribly painful for you. Is there nothing on TOL's end that they can do to expedite things, given the circumstances? I'm sure they're trying their best but this is an usual situation that calls for extraordinary actions. Surely with all the good friendships Kay has cultivated over the years there, it must count for something?

Tried to call you but you bums are gone again. I have just updated myself through your blog. I am thinking that you are concerned about the money part at the end of the year. Think of it this way, our government has squandered a lot of our money that we have saved for our retirement. Through the actions of many of our elected officials, and their greed we now have many less dollars for this up coming event. So don't worry about the money part, it will all work out. The only way to look at this now or before is.... Do you want another child? The answer can only be Yes or No. I know what your answer is, and I know this is not as cut and dried as I say, BUT....you really only need to consider the answer, and the rest WILL work out. As always sending our love and prayers to you all...
