We pushed the agency to get a better idea of what our time line would be........
and we're definitely not liking what we learned (I think we've known this for a long time, but it's easier to hang onto your dream if you keep your head in the sand)
Our paperwork should have been sent to the MOJ on October 10th. It will stay there for 30 days, which, if all goes well would mean we would be registered on the 10th of November. Then we wait for our referral -- if that happens at a November meeting we would most likely travel to meet our daughter in early December.
Again, this is all ifs and maybes. IF we travel in December, decide that the child we meet is our daughter we come home and wait for the courts. If we decide that she isn't our daughter we come home and wait for another referral.
Lets say that we decide she is our daughter on the first trip -- the wait for the court to process will be approximately 12-16 WEEKS -- that means we would not travel to pick up our daughter until MARCH or APRIL ...........
The best we can say is that at least we have a realistic idea now, there's no more hoping to be done by the end of the year . . . . we know what to expect.
With this knowledge we realize that we have about 1 month to decide if we continue with the adoption or make the agonizing decision to let our dream go ..........

Hi, we found out about your site ealier today and wanted to let you know that we adopted the little 8 year old first grader from the same Orphange that Vika was at in Uralsk. Oksana has been asking to find Vika in America and she like all the other girls were under the impression that Vika did in fact travel to America with you. We are sorry to hear about what happened with your family while in Uralsk. We have a website with photos of Oksana if you are interested and some of her former group mates in the Detsky dom. I know you may not but we wondered if you had any pictures of the girls in Vikas group.
