The information on Gabriella should be in our hands early next week -- we've been counting down those 10 days by the hours ..... it's getting closer.
We received more information about how this will work. Once we receive Gabriella's information we will have two months to decide whether we accept the referral. That gives us some time to have her medicals looked at by an International Dr. in the states and to soul search how we feel she will "fit" into our family.
If we decide that we would like to meet her it will be arranged fairly quickly. Unlike Kazakhstan there are no Visa's required and no invitation from Bulgaria to wait for .... our agency will make all the arrangements for our in-country stay. The stay is approximately 5 days -- doesn't that sound unreal. How can you get to know something about this child in only 5 days? That is a huge change.
Also wonder how we will be able to leave this child in Bulgaria and come home to wait for the paperwork to be filed. Wondering if the feelings we have now will be doubled or even tripled once we meet her - how can we not wonder what it is she's doing each day, is she happy, is she safe, is she sick ..... Ughhh. This is another big difference ... it's going to be very hard.
Again we will have to decide hotel or apartment -- definitely apartment for us I think. Since our stay will be so short we would like to learn as much about the culture and people of Bulgaria ... much easier done from an apartment than a hotel room.
We will need to bring gifts for the orphanage director and caregivers -- does anyone have any ideas? I'm stuck.
It's beginning to feel more real ..................

Yes, it feels really real. It must also be hard to shift gears from Kaz to Bulgaria. There are so many differences. Praying this little girl is your daughter and that all your dreams come true. You SO deserve it.
Can't wait to hear all about her and see if she is the girl you have been waiting for.
Prayers are going up...
We can't wait to hear more about her...Hailee must be just so excited right now!!! We are excited for you too! I was thinking of gifts you could take for the Staff and Directors. We brought with us things that were made in our home town and special items. For example, each care worker got a small bag containing a handmade luxury soap box of different scents. Maple candy and or syrup and a few other things. Pens, ear rings, scarves, gloves, chocolate etc. For the Director there we bought Chocolate and a bottle of wine in country. (Which we were told was appropriate for that area.) Also nice body lotion kits and perfumes from the US might be nice and not take up much room in luggage. Just some ideas, also we took some pictures of the family, Jamey and I with Oksana and put those in the bags as well, and we are told they would be greatly appreciated also. Just some ideas! I hope you hear and post again soon! Can't wait!
