Last Day

It was a good morning for us! We found a fantastic grocery store .... here's what we made for breakfast this morning .... we were getting pretty tired of the oatmeal that we brought, toast with peanut butter and granola bars. It was yummy -- the only thing that would have made it perfect -- jelly!
The best thing we found at the grocery --- real coffee .... Jack was a happy man!! Check out the Sumo Wrestlers on the coffee mug:

Quiet day today -- we did a lot of walking around and enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. Still trying to find things and remember how to get there because when I'm here alone with the girls I definitely don't want to get lost. Of course it would be much easier if someone wants to join me .... there's 2 bedrooms in the apartment and we'd have a great time. Wouldn't you like to experience a delicious breakfast like this mornings? I'd do the cooking! Be the first to volunteer and we'll even get you the REAL coffee -- in the Sumo mug!!!!!

During our walk today we found a beautiful old school -- there was even a basketball hoop in the yard!

Hailee will absolutely love this -- in the midst of all the traffic you'll see a horse drawn buggy. This morning during breakfast we heard the clip-clop of hooves and the squeaky wagon wheels as they went past our apartment. Not something we see in Wisconsin -- see that would be another reason to join me -- the sights you see! The gentlemen in this picture was carrying a stove in his wagon.

After our last long walk around town we came home to pack up. It's an early morning tomorrow -- 4:30 a.m. -- flight to Munich leaves at 7:30 -- we arrive home around 6 p.m. Doesn't sound like a long day but ..... we'll be up almost 22 hours by the time we get home tomorrow night. Ugh!!!

Here's tonights restaurant choice -- the menu offered meals from around the world.

I tried the Shanghai dish -- chicken, eggs, bread, rice, carrots, beans, onions, sauces with sugar, sauces with sour vinegar and peas. Was kind of like sweet sour chicken with rice. Not too bad really.

Jack's choice for the evening was a dish named "Vienna" -- it was pork, eggs, bread, vienna potatos -- turned out to be breaded pork with french fries.

That's it for tonight - have to finish up the packing and get things in order for the flights. See everyone soon ....... with lots of pictures and lots of stories!

It's very tempting to join you—hot coffee in a sumo mug alone would be worth it. Glad you're soaking in the sights. It looks like a charming city.

Safe travels and hope you're able to get some shuteye along the way.
