We've decided to take some advice Jonathan has been giving us for years -- he's always telling us to "get out of the box, try something new". And he's right a lot of the time, we do what we're comfortable doing . . . . well, not anymore we're going to rent a two bedroom apartment in the middle of the city for our stay in Uralsk ................. (and I must say that I'm a bit nervous)
According to our agency it's not the prettiest building on the outside but the inside is wonderful. And, truthfully, it will be nice to have more space -- there is a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, internet access, phone, and even an elevator. I was assured that the government no longer controls the electricity and water as they once did. The apartment is located close to shopping and restaurants.
But, I've been thinking about this .......... hotel life meant maids, laundry pickup & delivery, room service -- sort of a vacation. The apartment sounds great but . . . who's the maid, who's the cook, who's the laundry worker -- where's the vacation?????????????

"OUT OF THE BOX" ... well, let's face it, sometimes we would just rather do things ourselves anyway. Maid service is sometimes over rated. You will probably feel more comfortable in you own little place, so I think you've made a good choice!

I hadn't read your site in awhile, wow, you sure do have a lot to do to accomplish your goal. Remember you are always in our prayers, we love you, and have a wonderful, safe trip. Hope the days go fast and you are home soon. Love to you all.

You will get there and be so happy that you chose the apartment, it means more space then just a little one room hotel room, and there will be the option to not have to leave the room for someone to clean, and you can do breakfast in the room, this is going to be a good thing...The maid situation? Hmmm..lets see, I think that should be a split thing, maybe Dad takes one day, Hailee takes another and Mom the next day? Love You All..cant wait till you are back home, I am missing you already!
